Facial Masque Weekly, Professional Skin Treatments Monthly, Dermatologist check-ups Annualy

It is important to establish a skin care routine to keep your skin healthy. When your skin is healthy, it is more receptive to repair. A complete skin care regimen contains daily, weekly, monthly, and annualy. A regular skin care routine will help you to achieve glowy skin... and who doesn't want glowy skin?!! 🙌

Cleanse: Use a gentle cleanser that is best for your skin type. Usually liquid cleansers are best for everyone. Mild cleanser for dry skin, gel cleansers for combination/oily skin. The cleanser helps to remove makeup, dirt, impurities, and oil from the skin.

Exfoliate: I recommend gentle exfoliation 1-2x a day, and resurfacing exfoliation 1x a week. Gentle exfoliation can be as simple as using a Clarisonic Facial Brush. Exfoliating the skin is important to remove dead skin cells that can clog our pores.

Toner: Don't 🚫SKIP TONER. It helps to lightly refresh the skin, hydrate, and restores the natural pH level of the skin after exfoliating. Toners also help the rest of your skin care products work more effectively.

Moisturizer: Apply a quarter size amount of moisturizer to damp skin. Damp skin allows the moisturizer to be more effective. Be sure to bring the moisturizer down to your neck as well.

Spot Treat Blemishes: If you are experiencing acne or hyper pigmentation (dark spots) then apply a spot treatment. For acne I like the PERSA-Gel Ⓡ 10 Acne treatment . For dark spots I enjoy the Clinique Clinical Dark Spot Corrector .

Eye cream: It's never too early or too late to start protecting your eyes. I recommend applying eye cream morning and night. It helps to moisturize the area, prep for eye makeup, and protects the eyes from damage that can cause aging.

Drink Water: I recommend adding a glass of water to your skin care routine, Morning/Night. This helps to energize you and your skin cells and allows the skin to be more plump. Water keeps your skin hydrated and flushes out toxins, in turn giving you that healthy glow!! 🌟

Get Rest: It's called beauty sleep for a reason! It is important to rest well. Lack of sleep can make the skin look dull, and shallow. It can also cause breakouts and/or dark and puffy eyes. Your skin does all of it's repairing and produces collagen while asleep so you can wake up refreshed.

Treatment Masque: I recommend doing a facial masque that is best for your skin type. At this very moment I am obsessed with this Brazened Honey masque from Lush. It is perfect for oily/congested skin. Using a facial masque helps to give you targeted treatment and skin results faster.

Professional Skin Treatments: I recommend seeing a professional skin therapist every 4-6 weeks and seeing a Dermatologist 6-9 months (depending on your skin condition of course) It is important to see professionals, to have a conversation about skin, skin goals, and routine. It also helps with deep cleansing and allows your skin to rest while you relax. I recommend seeing a Dermatologist as often as your like but no later than 6-9 months to ensure your skin health.

Establishing a skin care routine is important for good skin health. A routine will help you reach your skin goals FASTER!! What is your skin care routine??
