Hey friends! Thanks for stopping by the blog today. We're talking all about Toner and why I think it is one of the most important step in your skin care routine!

WHAT IS TONER, ANY WAY?

Toner is a liquid that penetrates the skin to balance your ph level, helps skin care products work more effectively, and gets rid of dead skin cells. This results in glowy, plump, healthy skin. Applying Toner is so important after cleansing your skin because it brings your skin to it's natural acidic state all while removing impurities and dead skin cells. It also helps all your skin care products absorb better. There are few different types of toners.

WHEN SHOULD I ACTUALLY APPLY TONER?

Toner goes after your cleanser but before your moisturizer. Toner brings our skin ph level back, while prepping your skin for all the skin products to follow such as serums and moisturizer. Toners usually contain water, witch hazel, glycerin, amino acids, and some anti inflammatory ingredients that create the perfect blend for your skin.

WHICH TONER SHOULD I USE?

Just like moisturizer when shopping for Toner you want to pick one that is best for your skin type.

If I have Dry/Flaky/Mature Skin:  Bioelements Power Peptide toner this has renewing peptides to keep this skin strong as well as licorice root to help even and calm the skin! It's one of my favorites.

If I have Larger Pores: I actually recommend the Paula's Choice BHA Liquid Exfoliant. This helps to gently exfoliant the skin, refine pores and even out the skin tone.

If I have Sensitive Skin: Bioelements Soothing Reset Mist helps sensitive skin stay hydrated, nourished, and calm!

If I have Acne Prone or Oily Skin: La Roche Posay Acne Clarifying Solution this helps to get rid of excess dirt, debris, and helps to unclog pores that cause acne.

Toner is very important in your skin care routine. In fact, a recent study has found that after applying a Tone your skin is 100% able to absorb what you apply on it after. You don't want your moisturizer to just sit on the top layer of your skin. The Toner helps to bring those products down to effectively penetrate all the layers of your skin.

Do I recommend using Toner? YES!!!
