Hey friends! Thank you so much for visiting my blog today! We're going to answer your
skin care questions today. I asked you last week to please send in your skin care questions through my email/Instagram Story post. Thank you so much for your questions. I'm going to try do this monthly so if your question isn't answered today - you have another chance next month.

Q: My skin is so sensitive, what should I use to wash my face?

A: Sensitive skin is a common skin concern. First it is important to identify the reason why your skin is sensitive or what could be causing it's sensitivities. This could be due to allergies, weather conditions, skin care products, or even genetics. I recommend a cleanser that is effective in cleansing the skin but still gentle on the surface skin.

Here are my recommendations:

First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser - it is fragrant free and gentle cleanser, while getting rid of dirt, makeup, impurities without drying out the surface skin. It retails for $21. Shop here!
Philosophy  Purity Made Simple Cleanser - it is an award winning, one step, simple cleanser that effectively cleanses even the most sensitive skin type. It retails for $24. Shop here!

Q: Do I need sunscreen in the winter/cold months?

A: Yes! It is recommended to use sun protection all year around. UV/UVB Rays from the sun penetrate the skin even when it's not Summer. Failing to protect your skin from the sun's harmful rays can cause premature aging, sun spots, discoloration, skin cancer, fine lines/wrinkles, and a host of other negative effects. You may use a lower SPF count in the winter/cold months, since your sun exposure may be limited.

Here are a some of my favorite sunscreens for the face:

Peter Thomas Roth Max Sheer All Day Sunscreen SPF 30 - I love this sunscreen because its sheer and doesn't leave a white residue on the face. It's also very hydrating and has antioxidants that help to fight free radical sun damage. It retails for $42. Shop here.

Tarteguard 30 Vegan Sunscreen 30 - This sunscreen is vegan/hypoallergenic/non chemical that helps to fight free radical sun damage. It's non greasy but blends evenly. It retails for $32. Shop here.

Q: What can I use on my dry, cracked lips?

A: I love a good lip balm!!! I recommend using a lip balm/mask at night. It will help really moisturize her lips while your asleep so you wake up with hydrated, supple, lips!

Here is my favorite:

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask -It's an amazing leave on lip mask for night time. It hydrates the lips so well. It smells amazing and feels so good. It retails for $20. Shop here.

Q: How can I treat breakouts?

A: I actually have a complete blog post that covers Adult Acne. Here is a link to my blog post. I know it's so annoying and can really get you down but remember to try your best to find and stick with a skin care routine. Here is a link to my favorite mask that is perfect for breakouts.

Q: How often should I get a facial?

I recommend getting a facial every 4-6 weeks! This is the natural 'facial cycle' our skin goes through after getting treated. The next day after your facial, you notice a beautiful healthy glow. Two days after your skin looks renewed and hydrated, makeup applies better. The next two week to three weeks you may notice yourself applying less makeup, or noticing your at-home skin care products working more effectively. And by week 4, viola it's time for your next facial.

That's all the skin care questions I'm answering today. Thank you so much for sending them in. Please keep a look out for my next Q&A. You may always get in touch and ask me questions on Instagram: @aleithiawilbert
