Skin Tip | Toss the Noxzema

Thank me later.

Hey friends! Welcome back to my blog. In today's Skin Tip post I am encouraging you to stop using Noxzema on your face. I know it's an 'old' favorite but it most likely isn't good for Your Best Skin today.

The main reason why I think you should discontinue use is, Nozxema clogs the PORES! The classic cream has a thick consistency and is comedogenic. Most people like to use the classic cream to cleanse skin morning & night or even to remove makeup and the product doesn't easily rinse off - leaving a residue on the skin. If one of your skin concerns is congestion/blackheads than I would not recommend Noxzema.

Here are the main ingredients found in Noxzema products

-fragrance
-gelatin
-menthol
-camphor
-soybean oil

The fragrance in Noxema is higher on the ingredients list which can cause irritation in the skin and while the camphor and mental may feel 'cooling' when your first apply it to the skin - it can have lasting skin irritation if over used. This can leave the skin with dry patches and even breakouts.

  1. Current favorite, due to wearing a mask, is Cetaphil. Its soothing to my currently sensitive skin and has a pleasant not overpowering smell because the fragrance is last on the list of ingredients.
