Hey friends! Welcome back to my blog! In today's post we're going to cover why I think it's important to get a facial and how often you need them for Your Best Skin!

5 Reasons Why YOU NEED a Facial!

1. It is Relaxing! Facial services are so relaxing for you and Your Best Skin which help to encourage your skin's natural repair cycle. When you are relaxed, your skin can treat and take care of itself better. Not to mention you are encouraged to fall asleep. Free Naps With Every Facial.

2. Skin Cell Renewal! Facials help to improve skin's tone, texture, clarity, and elasticity allowing you to look glowy and younger.. longer! This is due to the facial massage - most skin therapist will give you a facial massage that include luxurious oils/serums that help to treat your skin and encourage skin cell turnover.

3. Professional Exfoliation: Exfoliating the skin is very important in the overall health of your skin. It is essential to remove dead skin cells that can clog our pores and cause acne, breakouts, etc. Skin Therapist use professional grade exfoliation products and tools to help clear all the 'gunk' that sits on our skin and in our pores. This can be done with manual extractions, or with chemical peels, and a host of other methods.

4. Customized skin care: At Your Best Skin, I customize each facial to treat your skin on the day of your visit. Essentially, you never receive the same facial twice. This ensures that we treat your skin's current conditions and give you Your Best Skin possible. No cookie cutter, facials here.

5. Anti-Aging: All facial treatments are anti-aging even if it isn't specifically stated in the description of that particular facial. During the skin treatment, your skin therapist uses specific methods in applying/removing products - as well as encouraging proper blood circulation during your facial massage. In the end, your skin will look and feel healthier, brighter, and plumper.

How Often Do I Need a Facial?

I recommend getting a facial every 4-6 weeks! This helps to keep up with your skin's natural repair cycle and will ensure to keep your skin healthy and naturally glowing.

Immediately after your skin appears hydrated and there is a visible healthy glow.

Between 48-72 hours the skin is hydrated and cell mitosis (creation of new skin cells)  has been stimulated.

Between 28-48 hours long term benefits start to kick - in and your skin treatments will begin to show long lasting effects.

4-6 weeks it's time for your next skin treatment appointment to continue skin's health.

In between facial appointments, it is important to establish a skin care routine to maintain overall health of your skin. Talk to your Skin Therapist to discover the most effective products for Your Best Skin.
