Hey friends! Welcome back to my blog. Today I’m sharing my After Care tips from a bikini/Brazilian wax        Service. I have already done a ‘What to Expect’ / How to prepare for a Brazilian wax post in the past. I will link it here. Thanks for stopping by and I hope this post is helpful. Leave me any questions or comments below.

It is very important to follow your skin therapist’s after care recommendation after receiving a bikini/Brazilian wax to decrease a negative reaction and infection. These are my professional recommendations:

—————————-

- Do not exfoliate your skin for atleast 24 hours: I actually recommend waiting two days. Waxing is a form of exfoliating the skin, in its self and if you over exfoliate - it can lead to irritation and increase the chances of bumps and ingrown hair.

- Avoid the pool for 24-48 hours: Your skin is more sensitive post wax, especially first - timers, so it’s best to avoid the water for a little while to prevent infection. Try to schedule your wax appointment a 4-7 days before your vacation trip if you plan to get in the water.

- Schedule your wax 2 weeks before your period or the week after your period: Your skin is more sensitive  the week before your menstrual cycle. You may also be able to get your wax during your cycle, if your therapist is okay with it. You would most likely have to wear a tampon and I would suggest waiting until your cycle is almost over and your bleeding has decreased a significant amount. This way you and your therapist will be most comfortable.

- Do not pick at any bumps: Picking at the skin post wax can cause irritation and infection. Your fingers have bacteria on them and adding that to your skin can cause a negative reaction and more bumps.

- Don't have SEX the same day as your wax! I know it's tempting but sexual activity can cause skin irritation.

Also be mindful of excessive sweating and heat after getting your wax service - again the skin is more prone to infection and irritation. I would not recommend to go immediate physical activity.

I hope this post was helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.
