Hey friends! Welcome back to my blog!

Today I'm sharing all the details from our anniversary stay cation in Geneva / Geneva - on - the Lake. We had the best time! I definitely recommend for your next stay-cation.

Our anniversary was September 17 and we started off with dinner at Cru Uncorked in Moreland Hills. The food was amazing and the ambience.. was perfect. We night capped at the bar and it's so cozy and contains a wonderful selection of spirts. We will definitely be back to Cru Uncorked. They are in the process of doing some renovations to add a wine tasting room, etc. It is a perfect place to dine for celebrations.

If you live in the Cleveland, Geneva is about an hour away or a little less. So it's a pretty quick drive. We arrived Friday night at Vineyard Woods, and remotely checked in which we LOVED. The Vineyard Woods lodging is premiere, secluded, luxurious, and romantic. We stayed in the Pinot Noir suite in the Villa -   which was just stunning. Our suite,  actually is designed for two couples who want ample space but want to stay together, but when we booked for our anniversary weekend this was the only suite available and I wanted to stay at Vineyard Woods so bad so we just booked the big suite. haha! It ended up being amazing and we loved the extra space. Kendrick and I have no idea how to pack light... so the space was perfect.

It contained two rooms: one king bed and one queen. Two TV's, kitchenette, beautiful bathroom with an amazing shower, and the best view. We loved drinking our coffee on the patio and taking pictures. The overall vibe was just farm house/villa/homey/cozy/clean... etc. Everything you want in a space for relaxation.

Saturday morning we drove to Geneva - on - the Lake for a wine tour at The Lodge in Geneva. We started with buffet breakfast at Horizon Restaurant and Lounge and it was so good - love the breakfast potatoes. The wine tour started at noon and took us to four different wineries. It was such a unique experience because we toured with Wine Specialist, Lauren, who explained the process of wine making, showed us wine cellars, and even wine pairings with food and so much more. We drank PLENTY of wine! It was worth every penny.

Above is one of my favorite shots from the trip! The underground wine cellar was so creepy, yet fun. HAHAHA!

Check out the wine slushies from Kosicek Winery and thank me later.

We ended with dinner back at the Horizon Restaurant and Lounge and enjoyed the beautiful sunsets at Golden Hour - BREATH TAKING!!! Many people get married at The Lodge and we could understand why, it is just beautiful and the Horizon is perfect.

Sunday morning we went back and got breakfast and mimosas and actually drove to Mentor to go to the gun range. It was a last minute decision but so much fun. So as you can probably tell if you have never been to the Geneva area, it actually isn't too far from Cleveland and other cities are accessible as well. Geneva is a city filled with wineries so if that's your thing.. you would love it here just like Kendrick and I. We got to relax, sip, and relax some more. We ended Sunday night at Crosswinds Grille a The Lakehouse Inn and enjoyed more beautiful sunsets. This was one of the most relaxing but satisfying trips ever. I loved that we weren't too far from home but still had an amazing time.
