Hey friends! Welcome back to my blog. Today’s Skin Tip is: Ditch the Makeup Wipes, Try Precleanse.

What is Pre Cleanse? Precleanse is the step before cleanser. It dissolves makeup, debris, dirt, sunscreen etc, and preps the skin for your facial cleanser to work effectively. It is an important step in your skin care routine. Read more about Pre Cleanse here

What’s wrong with Makeup Wipes? Makeup wipes simply move around makeup and dirt around the skin instead of actually removing it.. so it doesn’t effectively prep your skin for cleansing. I suggest to use makeup wipes for ‘emergency’ nights. The times where you may be feeling really sick, hung over, or the time of the month. Not for an everyday, routine use. Don’t rely on makeup wipes to remove all of your makeup because they never will. This can lead to unwanted skin concerns such as, clogged pores, acne, dry skin, etc.

The one I’m going to be talking about today is Bioelements Sensitive Skin oil. I use this in my professional facials at work as well. It’s a 2 - in - 1 that can be used as a pre cleanse and as a face cleanser for sensitive skin. This Precleanse helps to treat inflammation and irritation while repairing your skin barrier. Shop here

The Bioelements Sensitive Skin oil is my favorite but I will share a few other suggestions:

Clinique Cleansing Balm - shop here

Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm - shop here

Dermalogica Pre Cleanse - shop here

Key pieces:

-Use Makeup wipes only in emergency situations.

-Don’t rely on them for daily use to remove makeup, dirt, and debris.

-Pre Cleanse helps to prep skin for your cleanser to work more effectively.
